Bermuda Oil Shark

            A south Florida marine engineer and boat-building enthusiast is called on assignment to investigate mysterious damage done to an oil derrick just off the east coast, and just inside of the Bermuda triangle.  He leaves his small town just before the annual home-made boat race, and begins investigating the mysterious damage to the derrick.  While he’s there a second accident results in two repairmen being eaten by an inky black shark, and the scientist calls a biologist friend to join in the investigation.  Sure enough, they learn that a family of sharks have become mutated due to irresponsible drilling practices, and that they now thrive on oil.

            As the sharks grow, their appetite increases, and when they can no longer satisfy themselves with the leaking pollutant, they tear into the oil derrick, destroying it from the bottom up.  The engineer and the biologist narrowly escape, and must race to shore in a home-made boat to warn their hometown of the nasty beasts inhabiting the trade-wind propelled oil spill.

            They survive another conflict with the beast in route, and make it to shore ahead of the oil, in the midst of the home-made boat race.  The shark is hot on their heels, and the engineer is just able to save his family as carnage ensues.  Battle begins between the shark and the townsfolk, a battle made all the more dangerous because these sharks not only breathe oil, but also spray boiling tar from glands in their throats.  And when the oily surface of the water catches fire… well, then all hell really breaks loose.

Time Shark

            Pop!  Three men and a woman appear in the water in the middle of the ocean, all wearing fancy wetsuits with shiny light-up panels.  They discuss how they guess they have come back too far, and laugh a bit until they realize that they are being circled by a shark with a bone ridged fin.  The woman takes a few pictures using a camera built into her suit, but then the shark turns to attack the group.  They briefly mess with matching bracelets that they all wear, and with a pop they disappear.

            In the present, the group appears on the beach at an island research facility.  We learn that they are temporal archivists who are mapping the past, and that they believed this island might be the geographical point where life began.  They go out into the water to place chrono-tracking devices and all is going well when suddenly one of the men is eaten by an enormous shark.  Another of the men lays chase to the shark to get revenge but suddenly the shark disappears.  The time jump bracelet in its stomach is auto-skipping back through time.

            Now the remaining three archivists must chase the time shark into the past, using the resources of each regressive era to hunt the beast.  The potential crisis:  If the shark continues to skip back through time, it could feasibly eat the creature that first crawled out of the sea, and thus end life on Earth as we know it.  As they fail to capture the creature in each century, the archivists come up with one last ditch effort.  If they can find a way to pit the time shark against its own distant ancestor, maybe they can effectively erase it from existence and save mankind.

Skyshark

            In order to prevent an endangered species of shark from going extinct, biologists begin giving the only two specimens in captivity hormone injections taken from a rare pacific bird with an exceptionally high sex drive and very durable young.  The sharks react well at first and begin mating, but the children they produce are a bit unusual.

            Shortly after birth, the shark tank clouds with blood as the babies eat their parents.  Once the young sharks are moved to a cleaner tank, it becomes clear that something is wrong with them.  They are surfacing to breathe, and they have strange slits around their lateral fins, like a seam of some kind.  After several deadly attacks on trainers attempting to feed or analyze the sharks, food is cut off to the beasts.  But instead of starving to death, they demonstrate their true abilities.  Their fins protrude out from their bodies, and stretch to reveal pterodactyl-like hinged wings, previously contained in their flanks.

            The sharks flee the tank, and after decimating the research lab, they begin trolling the countryside in search of food and potential mating partners.  A team is assembled from all corners of the Earth to hunt down the flying sharks before they make their way from small towns to big cities.  

Battleshark

            A team of foreign spies are baffled when their seemingly successful information smuggling endeavor is thwarted by… a trained shark that sinks their ship and takes out the life rafts as the members try to flee.

            Military officials praise Dr. Monroe for his efforts to train Mabs, the Mentally Enhanced Battle Shark and they beginning playing war-games involving the shark.  Mabs is employed on his first military operation, but things go wrong when one of the navy guys in the platoon accidentally shoots Mabs, prompting the shark to attack him.  The government insists that Monroe lobotomize the shark.  Monroe proposes that instead he graft metal plates onto the shark’s body to prevent another pain induced outburst.  He sets up the equipment to do this when Mabs bucks loose and flees the laboratory.

            A team of bounty hunters is assembled to scour the globe to hunt down and kill the battleshark.  He travels to various remote locales, and when they finally track him down, he has spawned a family of similarly trained sharks.  The family is terrorizing a sea-side village, biting apart piers and destroying everything they can.  The bounty hunters successfully kill off the shark family, which drives Mabs into a rage.

            His next move surprises everyone.  Mabs returns to the laboratory.  Monroe is excited to see him back and confused when the shark puts itself into the machine that will equip him with armor plates.  Monroe executes the procedure, and then Mabs promptly kills him.  Outside, the shark finds himself again faced with the team of bounty hunters, but now, with his new armor he is ready to fight them.

Operation Iraqi Landshark

American troops meet with no resistance as they seize the rural Iraqi village of Al-Taneen.  They soon realize that what they thought was an Al Qaeda hideout is actually a desert ghost town.  When American Intelligence loses contact with the unit almost immediately after receiving this intel, they decide to send in an elite team of contract mercenaries to assess the importance of the mysterious city.

            

The Aliens style team of fighters (including an overqualified civilian medic with a background in zoology) feel a mixture of dissatisfaction and relief over what they feel is a throwaway mission meant to keep their controversial practices out of the spotlight.  They soon discover that there are indeed Iraqi rebels hiding out in the city, but these rebels are in no mood to fight.  The rebels are terrified of the abnormal ruts in the desert sand, the strange oil markings on the walls and the sounds that fill the air at night.  But only when the mercenaries begin to disappear, one by one, do they realize that they are in a different kind of enemy territory.

            

So the Iraqis and the Americans must team up to fight the creature beneath the dark fin that swims through the sand, and only once they’ve cornered it against the neighboring mountains do they learn that their mission is more complex than they thought.  A transmission reveals that the CIA suspected the existence of this creature, and that they don’t want it killed.  Their mission is now to capture the ‘sandshark’ and transport it to an American base.  Why?  Because it has evolved a digestive tract that transmutes sand into fossil fuels.  And because it bleeds oil.
