Jingle Hell (Silent Night, Fiery Night)

In a small town on Christmas Eve, what one family thinks is the North Star turns out to be a fiery comet that smashes into a Christmas Tree Farm, igniting the small forest.  Disgruntled police officers investigate the fire on Christmas day, and are baffled by the clawing marks that the tree-farmer made as he was apparently dragged into the flames.
Only moments after they leave the scene, they get another call about a house fire less than a mile away.  They head to the house and learn that here to, a tree ignited, bringing down the house, and the homeowner who barely escaped swears that no, there weren’t any candles by the tree, and she insists that the flames tried to grab her.  And the only things in the house completely untouched by the flames: the coal box for the space heater, and a couple of stockings stuffed with coal as a gag gift.

Another smoky line on the horizon and the officers realize that they are combating a small army of small flaming creatures, who, whether they are aliens that came with the comet, or demons released in the blast, are intent on destroying the Christmas spirit and burning the city to the ground.  So, our officers enlist the aid of some young carolers and race against time to collect Christmas trees and build a path to the old coal mine, in the hopes that coal really is the one weakness of this naughty spirit.
